Can google Teach ??

I came across this wonderful article what would it be if google can teach automotive industry to opt for open source designing.?If that is so,imagine we would be having the new beta versions of the cars custom designed by the customers and innumerable BMWs,Fords,Audis on the roads each class apart from the rest. Then we would sure peep and strain our backs to have a look at the custom designed car because each car would be unique .

Imagine ordering the spare parts of your car from BOSCH,the Audio system from BOSE, ..and so.on..then You can get it painted by your Salim/shekar/sailu/or any enthusiastic painter who share your taste .I particularly imagined the rock fans custom car with a huge Metallica sign and then the BosE system with multi dynamic sound speakers in it,if its sport then u can have bats and rackets,if its movies you can have shades of priyanka with tinge of deepika..you name it and we give it!

That would definitely save the auto industry from the claws of recession because it is we the customers who design our cars there are zillions of threads on facebook,orkut about cars where people enthusiastically discuss even about the trivial aspects of the cars so why not auto industry let people decide what they should pay for?
